Sports and games are a means of mental and physical growth. Sports help us to identify our inborn talent and capabilities and channelize them to achieve our target. To boost up the physical growth and development of the students and to infuse in them the spirit of patience and courage, games are given their due share of importance at Oxford. There is a separate allocation in the academic timetable for sports, besides practice sessions before and after school timings. School has a state of art sports infrastructure and almost all major games are played such as cricket, badminton, basketball, football, volleyball, chess etc.
Students participates in Inter Class, Inter House, Zonal, District, State, National and International level and brings home laurels.
Having adopted Basket Ball as the Prime sport, our school is the seed ground for nourishing talent in the field of Basket Ball. Founder Chairman, Late Dr. C. P. Prabhakar, a keen sportsman himself, was a firm believer that sports are the best activity with which the vigour of the youth can be fruitfully channelised. With this end in view Hansraj Prabhakar Memorial Invitational Basket Ball Tournament was started in the fond memory of Late Sh. Hansraj Prabhakar—the guiding beacon behind this institution. It has been an annual event since 1990 and the prestige gained by this tournament can well be gauged by the participation of teams from various highly reputed schools in the Delhi region. At the end of the event, Winners and Runners-up in all the sections are awarded with trophies as well as individual prizes. The Highest scorer, the Most Promising Player and the Best Player are also awarded. In addition, there are Free Throw and Three Pointer Competitions too. The events in the Sports Day are:
Annual Sports is celebrated on February 25 of every year on the special occasion of Birth Anniversary of our honorable founder Chairman, late Dr. C. P. Prabhakar. Students of classes Pre school to V participate in various sports activities like yoga, races, zumba, march-past etc.

Fit India School Week was conceived in 2019 with an imperative need of creating awareness about fitness not limited to children but also to the parents, teachers, and school staff. Keeping in mind the importance of physical and mental fitness in students' life and under the 'Fit India Movement', Oxford Senior Secondary School encourages its students to actively participate in a wide range of sports like basketball, football, badminton, cricket and athletics, while physical education, yoga and mock drill are included in all our student's timetable. conducts the umpteen activities all-round the academic year for the students of Classes Pre-Primary to XII.
During the Fit India Week, various activities were conducted for the students of Classes Pre-Primary to XII. Yoga sessions were organised for the students of the primary and middle wing. PPTs were shown to the students highlighting the significance of having a Balanced Diet. Students were motivated to do physical exercises and meditation on a regular basis to remain physically fit, mentally strong and alert. Quiz, declamation, poster making for classes VI to XII were also organised to emphasize the importance of physical and mental fitness.
